The new People Express Airlines, Inc. (PEOPLExpress™) is born of a love and passion for the iconic airline brand that revolutionized air travel in the 1980s. Founded by a group of driven and enterprising partners, the new PEOPLExpress™ is championed by a team of like-minded aviation professionals who want to bring the enjoyment back to flying.
PEOPLExpress™ has filed applications for U.S. government approvals to become a U.S. certificated airline. Our mission will be to provide safe, affordable flights on a convenient schedule to regions that are underserved as a result of the consolidations and mergers of the major carriers.
It's unfortunate but true. More and more cramped "commuter planes" have become the dominant travel option for flights from some airports. And "mega-hubs" have gotten bigger and more congested, causing overall transit times to be lengthy and making the connection experience stressful. It's just not a pleasant experience to fly between some cities.
Subject to regulatory approvals, PEOPLExpress™ will seek to re-establish convenient nonstop service in markets that have been abandoned by other carriers, or that only offer a "commuter" service option. We also plan on simplifying the booking and purchase process by including baggage fees and seat assignments without piling on upgrade and ancillary fees, and by keeping our fare structure simple and understandable. Not only that, we plan on offering the most flexible and valuable frequent traveler program in the market today.
