Check-in It is not enough to just ride the earth. You have to aim higher, try to take off, even fly. It is our duty. - Jose Yacopi (1916-2006)

Check-in, Seating, and Boarding

Check-in

Online

In the near future, Vision Airlines, Inc. dba PEOPLExpress will offer online check-in for your convenience. You will be able to check-in and print your boarding pass online up to 24 hours in advance. Currently all customers must check-in at the airport ticket counter.

At the Airport

Passenger and baggage check-in at the airport for domestic flights opens 2 hours prior to departure. Check-in must take place at least 60 minutes prior to departure. We recommend that you always allow yourself ample time to get to the airport leaving enough time to check in, receive your boarding pass, clear security and get to the gate. When planning your trip to the airport, please keep in mind that we cannot be responsible for delays at the airport related to things beyond our control such as traffic congestion, security screening or weather conditions.

Baggage

You may choose to pay for your checked or carry-on baggage online at the time of your reservation or at any time up to the time you check-in, however, please make the necessary time allowance to actually drop off your bag at our ticket counter in the main terminal lobby. You will also find carry-on baggage size checkers at the ticket counter. Feel free to stop and use them to ensure that your carry-ons are an acceptable size before heading to the security checkpoint.

Seating

PEOPLExpress™ offers several seating options to meet a variety of customer needs. Customers are never required to purchase a seat assignment, however, for customers with specific seating preferences or who wish to be seated next to another customer, we strongly recommend purchasing an advance seat assignment for each customer traveling, as purchasing a seat assignment is the only way to ensure that your seating preferences can be honored.

Boarding

PEOPLExpress™ utilizes the following process for boarding: We board our Customers holding assigned seats in this order first: Customers who have purchased Living Large seats, Customers requiring special assistance, families with small children under the age of 5, and uniformed military members. After those Customers have boarded, we continue the general boarding process with those Customers who have purchased assigned seats, followed by those Customers without purchased seat assignments, based on the order of check-in which is indicated on each Customer's boarding pass.
