  • Children under the age of five will not be permitted to travel un-accompanied.
  • Children five to fourteen must travel with another customer at least eighteen years of age or they shall be considered to be Unaccompanied Minors.
  • All travel by Unaccompanied Minors must be on flights on which the child holds a confirmed reservation.
  • Children five years of age through fourteen years of age are accepted for unaccompanied travel on flights that do not involve a scheduled change of aircraft (i.e., connecting flights).
  • Unaccompanied children may not travel on connecting flights or for travel on international flights.

Please see our Contract of Carriage for all requirements and procedures for Unaccompanied Minors.

Infants:

You may travel with one (1) infant seated in your lap without purchasing a ticket provided that:

  • The infant is over 7 days but less than two years old, AND
  • You are at least 18 years old or the infant's legal guardian, AND
  • Your travel is within the United States.

When traveling with a child who turns age two during a trip, a reserved seat and ticket are required for the entire journey.

Guidelines for Traveling with an Infant:

  • We encourage all adults traveling with children under the age of two (2) to purchase a seat for the child and secure the child in an FAA approved car seat.
  • For safety reasons, there is a limit of one (1) infant not occupying his/her own seat per row.
  • Child Seats manufactured before 2/26/1985 must bear the label "This child restraint system conforms to all applicable federal motor vehicle safety standards."
  • Child Seats manufactured after 2/25/1985 must bear the following two labels:
    • "This child restraint system conforms to all applicable federal motor vehicle safety standards" and,
    • "This restraint is certified for use in motor vehicles and aircraft."
  • Child Seats bearing the approval of a foreign government or seats manufactured under the standards of the United Nations are also acceptable.
  • Children can be transported in their strollers throughout the airport. However, strollers must be checked (free of charge) at the gate. No strollers of any size are permitted as carry-on baggage.
